Driver Partner Agreement

The standards, choices and responsibilities that apply to independent Dropdsh drivers.

Independent delivery partner terms

This Driver Partner Agreement applies when an individually approved driver uses Dropdsh to receive and perform delivery, movement or recovery jobs. It is accepted separately from the customer Terms of Service and continues while the driver account is active.

Status depends on reality: The parties intend a contract for services, but a contractual label does not override UK employment, tax or other law. The actual working relationship and legal tests always apply.

Core relationship

  • You choose when to go online and may reject an offered job before acceptance.
  • After acceptance, you must complete the job safely and professionally or use the proper cancellation/SOS process.
  • You provide and maintain the approved vehicle, licences, right-to-work evidence, insurance and required compliance documents.
  • Commission is fixed from the active plan when each job is accepted; eligible net earnings enter the weekly payout process.
  • You must protect customer information, location data, OTP/PIN codes, goods, vehicles and proof-of-delivery evidence.

1. Parties, scope and acceptance

“Dropdsh”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the Dropdsh platform operator identified in your onboarding and payment records. “Driver”, “you” and “your” mean the individual whose approved driver account receives work. This agreement covers the website, Driver App, dashboards and related services.

Submitting driver registration is an application, not approval or a guarantee of work. This agreement takes effect when you expressly accept it and we approve the account. Each accepted job also includes the offer details, customer instructions and applicable service rules.

2. Intended independent status

You are engaged as an independent provider and not as an employee, worker, agent or partner merely because you use Dropdsh. You decide whether and when to make yourself available and can reject an offer without penalty before acceptance. There is no obligation on us to offer work or on you to accept it.

You cannot bind Dropdsh, quote unauthorised prices or make promises on our behalf. You may work for others, including competitors, provided this does not compromise an accepted job, confidential information, safety or legal duties.

Nothing in this clause determines status where mandatory law reaches a different conclusion. Both parties must keep the practical relationship under review and comply with the rights and responsibilities that legally apply.

3. Eligibility and onboarding

You must meet the minimum age displayed during onboarding, hold a valid entitlement to drive the relevant vehicle in the UK, have the right to undertake the work, and provide complete and truthful identity, address, bank, vehicle and compliance information.

Approval can depend on operating zone, vehicle category, capability, document review, identity verification, driving record, DBS information where lawful and relevant, and other risk checks. You must not work until the required account, vehicle and documents are approved.

4. Documents, DBS information and ongoing checks

Required documents can include a driving licence, right-to-work evidence, proof of address, bank details, vehicle insurance, goods-in-transit cover where required, MOT, vehicle images and DBS documentation for eligible work.

Before providing DBS information, read the privacy notice and understand the level and lawful purpose of the check. A DBS certificate does not prove suitability by itself. We assess relevant information fairly, proportionately and in line with applicable DBS rules. Do not upload a certificate or criminal-record information for another person.

You must keep information current and upload renewals before expiry. An expired, missing, false, altered or rejected required document can automatically block new offers until approved. We may verify documents with issuers or lawful checking services as explained in the Privacy Policy.

5. Vehicle, insurance and equipment

You are responsible for providing an approved, roadworthy, taxed and properly insured vehicle suitable for the job. You must hold the class of motor insurance required for hire-and-reward delivery work and any goods-in-transit, recovery, public-liability or specialist cover required for the services you perform.

You are responsible for fuel, charging, maintenance, MOT, tyres, tolls, parking and operating costs unless the offer expressly says otherwise. Required safety, loading, securing, lifting and recovery equipment must be serviceable and used correctly.

Do not use an unapproved vehicle or allow another person to use your account. A replacement driver or subcontractor may act only where Dropdsh has expressly approved that person and vehicle in advance.

6. Job offers and acceptance

An offer can show service type, route, stops, schedule, load, vehicle requirement, customer price, commission basis and estimated driver earnings. Check suitability, location, time, documents, capacity and equipment before accepting.

Acceptance creates a commitment to perform that job with reasonable care and skill. You must proceed only through the assigned account and must not ask the customer to cancel, pay outside Dropdsh or move the booking off-platform.

Offers can be withdrawn before acceptance and work is not guaranteed. Dispatch or eligibility logic may consider zone, capability, documents, subscription status, current jobs, availability, safety and prior offer decisions.

7. Performance standards

You must:

  • comply with road, parking, working-time, vehicle, load-security and health-and-safety law;
  • follow the confirmed route, stops, timing and lawful customer instructions;
  • communicate professionally and keep status updates accurate;
  • inspect the visible condition and report discrepancies before collection;
  • protect goods and vehicles from loss, damage, contamination, weather and unauthorised access;
  • obtain the required proof, photograph, signature or OTP/PIN without falsification; and
  • report delay, damage, refusal, access issues or safety concerns promptly.

Never mark a status early, share an OTP/PIN, fabricate proof, manipulate GPS, open goods without authority or retain customer property.

8. Goods, vehicle movement and recovery

Apply the Prohibited Items Policy. Refuse and report an illegal, dangerous, leaking, materially misdeclared, overweight, insecure or unsuitable load. Do not carry a person as cargo or accept undeclared side loads.

Vehicle Movement and Vehicle Recovery require the approved capability, category, equipment and insurance. Record condition evidence before and after handover. Do not drive an unsafe or unlawfully roadworthy vehicle. A damaged electric or hybrid vehicle may require specialist battery-risk assessment.

9. Safety, breakdown and emergencies

Your safety and the public’s safety come first. Stop in a safe place and contact emergency services where anyone is in immediate danger. Use the Driver App SOS or urgent-support control for a live-job incident.

Report collisions, injury, theft, threats, breakdown, damaged goods, spills and police or regulator contact promptly. Preserve evidence and cooperate with a lawful investigation. Never continue where doing so would be unsafe or illegal.

10. Location, tracking and delivery evidence

While online or performing an active job, the app may use location to match work, show progress, support navigation, verify events, detect fraud and protect safety. Customer-facing tracking is limited to what is needed for their active order. Further details and retention rules are in the Privacy Policy.

You must not spoof, disable or manipulate required location during an accepted job. Photographs and proof must be relevant, lawful and avoid unnecessary people, documents or private areas.

11. Earnings, commission and weekly payout

The offer and active plan determine commission and estimated net earnings when a job is accepted. Completed eligible jobs are recorded in the driver wallet. Adjustments can apply for cancellation, partial performance, customer refund, dispute, duplicate payment, damage or another evidenced correction.

Eligible balances are processed under the current automatic weekly payout cycle shown in the wallet. Bank processing can delay receipt. You must provide accurate payout details in your own name or an approved business name. We may hold a genuinely disputed amount while investigating but will not withhold an undisputed amount without lawful reason.

12. Starter and Pro Driver plans

The Starter plan has no monthly membership charge and uses the displayed commission rate. Pro Driver is a recurring monthly Stripe subscription with the displayed fee and commission rate. Payment does not replace approval or guarantee offers.

You can switch to Starter through the subscription screen or manage the Stripe subscription through the available online payment control. Where cancellation is scheduled for period end, Pro benefits continue to that date and then the account moves to Starter. Failed or overdue Pro payment can pause new job access until payment is fixed or the account changes plan.

We provide the pre-contract price, billing frequency, renewal and cancellation information at checkout. We will comply with applicable UK subscription reminder, cooling-off and easy-exit requirements as they come into force. A price change applies prospectively with appropriate notice.

13. Driver cancellation and reliability

You can reject any job before acceptance. After acceptance, cancel only for a genuine reason through the normal cancellation or SOS workflow and provide an accurate explanation. If goods have been collected, follow handover instructions and do not abandon them.

The service may record a reliability or system review after an accepted-job cancellation and notify replacement drivers or dispatch. Repeated, dishonest, avoidable or unsafe cancellation can affect access after fair review. Emergencies and circumstances outside your reasonable control will be considered.

14. Customer data and confidentiality

Use customer and recipient names, addresses, phone details, chat, access codes, photographs and order information only to complete the assigned job. Do not copy, retain, publish, market to or contact a person outside the permitted service purpose.

Keep devices and account credentials secure and report loss, unauthorised access or a suspected data breach immediately. Confidential platform, pricing, security and business information must not be disclosed except where required by law.

15. Conduct, ratings and communications

Treat customers, recipients, staff and other drivers fairly and without harassment, discrimination, threats or retaliation. Do not drive while impaired and do not use a handheld device unlawfully.

Ratings and reviews must be genuine. We may investigate patterns, evidence and context rather than relying on an automated score alone. You may contact support about a review or decision you believe is inaccurate or abusive.

16. Tax, licences and operating costs

Subject to the correct legal status, you are responsible for registering with HMRC where required, keeping records, invoicing or VAT obligations, and paying tax and National Insurance. Obtain independent advice about your circumstances.

You bear ordinary operating costs unless an offer or written agreement expressly reimburses them. You are not entitled to holiday pay, sick pay, pension or another employee benefit merely under this agreement, but this does not remove any entitlement that mandatory law gives you.

17. Responsibility, loss and insurance

You are responsible for direct loss caused by your breach, negligence, unlawful act, fraud, misuse of customer data or failure to maintain required cover. You must notify your insurer of an incident and cooperate with a claim.

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or another liability that cannot legally be limited. Neither party is responsible for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, subject to mandatory law.

18. Restriction, suspension and ending the agreement

You may stop going online at any time and can ask to close the account after active jobs, payouts, disputes and required records are resolved. We may immediately restrict offers where documents expire, payment is overdue, safety is at risk, fraud is suspected, or a serious breach is alleged.

We may terminate for material or repeated breach, unlawful activity, falsified documents, account sharing, dangerous conduct or serious data misuse. Except where immediate action is reasonably necessary, we will give the reason and an opportunity to respond. Accrued undisputed earnings remain payable.

19. Support and appeals

Contact hello@dropdsh.co.uk about onboarding, documents, a restriction, payout or appeal. Include your driver ID, relevant job reference, explanation and evidence. For urgent active-job safety use the in-app support or SOS control.

We will review relevant evidence and avoid solely automated final decisions where UK data protection law requires meaningful human involvement.

20. Changes, transfer and governing law

We may update this agreement for legal, regulatory, safety or service reasons. Material changes will be notified before they apply. The version accepted for an existing job continues to govern that job unless law requires otherwise.

You may not transfer your account or this agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules that apply to you.
